Gestalt Skool for the Cool

Experience the true essence of Gestalt Therapy at Crybaby’s Gestalt Skool grounded in the foundational principles and methodology of Fritz Perls, yet enriched with the modern insights of Contemporary Gestalt Therapy, and live adjustments for our ever-changing field. Our program provides therapists with a live in person training experience to enhance therapeutic skills, but more importantly to transform the self.

At Gestalt Skool, leadership is anchored by Pamela Ganem. She has 9 years of training with Bob and Rita Resnick in Seattle, GATLA’s European Residential’s, Chicago, and Portland. Pamela is deeply committed to teaching and living by the core principles of Gestalt Therapy, and, more importantly, she is determined to change the culture of therapeutic training. As a person who struggled to fit into the majority of training spaces due to multiple marginalized identities, Pamela is committed to creating a space that can hold the nuanced totality of each person.

With that said, Gestalt Skool was imagined for those with marginalized identities, freaks, geeks, and for those who feel traditional spaces can’t or won't hold them. Whether you're honing your skills as a seasoned therapist or a baby-therapist still in graduate school, our program invites you to explore, question, and grow authentically. Join us at Gestalt Skool and embrace Gestalt Therapy in its purest form, fostering genuine connections and transformative experiences for both you and your clients.

I have been deeply hurt and disappointed by spaces that draw me in with fancy diversity statements and promises of anti-oppression, then ignore and deny the dialogue and time needed to explore the struggles that show up live. I won’t sell you on a safe space. In fact, the only thing I can truly provide is a ‘safe-emergency’** where each member can dig into their own personhood, identity, and self-work using the very principles of Gestalt Therapy.
— Pamela Ganem
** Fritz Pearls introduced the paradox of “Safe-Emergency” . Providing enough ‘safety’ so that clients feel supported and understood, while the natural environment introduces challenges or disruptions that encourage deeper exploration, awareness, and more choice. This delicate balance can facilitate genuine therapeutic transformation.
