About me
I am undeniably shaped by the musicality, resilience, humor, and diligence of my Jamaican upbringing. I migrated to the U.S. South at a pivotal time in my life, so I am also shaped by, and carry with me, the influence of Southern culture, and the enduring effect of immigration.
My professional career began in research, leading and supporting projects in cognitive psychology, gender studies, and education. I also spent time in behavioral science within corporate organizations, exploring the intersection of human behavior and organizational dynamics. While I valued my time in research and analytics—and still spend an absurd amount of time reading journal articles—therapy offers a kind of connection with people and their stories that charts and aggregated data simply can't replicate.
I became a therapist because I believe in the power of connection, of dialogue, and of telling our stories. An aspect of my work that holds particular significance for me is supporting Black people and those from immigrant backgrounds. Many of my clients navigate the psychological and emotional impact of direct or indirect racism and discrimination. Offering support in these realms is profoundly meaningful to me. Being intimately connected to these experiences allows me to bring unique insights and understanding to my work.

How I Work
My therapy style reflects who I am—there's a bit of humor, a touch of lightheartedness, and a sincere reverence for the challenges of living. I work with adults in individual and relationship therapy, and I’m trained as a sex therapist, offering focused sex therapy sessions or integrating sex, sexuality, intimacy, and pleasure into broader therapeutic conversations.
