About me
Hello, I’m Cam!
I’m passionate about working with people who are ready to heal past and current wounds, explore their experiences, and raise awareness of their conscious and unconscious processes. Many of my clients feel restricted in their growth and seek support for challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, internalized oppression, shame, or attachment injuries. Others come to therapy proactively, using the space to make sense of their experiences and emotions in a relational way. I also work with relationships of all forms—platonic, romantic, familial, and more—helping individuals improve communication while maintaining their individuality within connection. Some relationships come with the intention of consciously uncoupling, and I provide a space to facilitate logistics, process emotions, and create a meaningful goodbye.
On a personal note, I hold both privileged and marginalized identities that shape how I support others and how I show up in the therapeutic space. I’m a transfemme (wíŋkte) on a ‘later-in-life journey,’ and I bring my ongoing acceptance and experimentation into creating a safe and exploratory space for my fellow Trans clients to explore their unique expressions and journeys. I identify as white and was raised in a white family in Oregon, though I also have an important Bitterroot Salish, Lakota (Indigenous) heritage that I was drawn to as a child. This knowledge deeply influenced how I moved through the world and continues to inform my understanding of my gender and Trans experience.
Living within an oppressive system that told me I did not belong has given me opportunities to unpack internalized oppression, transform oppressive thoughts and actions, and develop empathy for others who have been othered or unseen. My hope is to offer a therapeutic relationship that helps you build self-supports while bridging environmental supports to the communities you are a part of—or the ones you are building. With a powerful combination of internal and external supports, wounds that interrupt your ability to meet your needs or achieve growth can begin to heal.
I am informed by a systemic, multicultural perspective that recognizes and holds the nuances of intersecting identities.I was drawn to the field of counseling through my own experiences in therapy, where I witnessed the profound impact of understanding myself, raising awareness of my processes, and healing through connection with another. This experience deepened my commitment to social justice, honoring the complexities of gender, race, sexuality, ethnicity, and abilities.
I earned my Master’s Degree in Counseling with a focus on relationship and family therapy from Portland State University. I am also a member of the Gestalt Training Center in Seattle, where I’ve received training in individual and relationship therapy through a contemporary Gestalt Therapy perspective.

I’m usually cooking (for others), learning and practicing makeup looks, going hard on puzzles. I’m a huge fan of neighborhood walks to meet all the local cats, and I love crafting and making ceramics.

How I Work
authenticity, care, and directness
As a therapist, I seek to braid together authenticity, care, and directness. I draw from theories of Gestalt therapy, Somatic practices, and Process Work. I value these experiential models of therapy that increase awareness of your conscious and unconscious processes through experiments, movement, dreamwork, and visualizations. My goal is to provide stability and challenge for clients to understand new perspectives of their creative adaptations and explore ways they make meaning of their world
I have a steady, precise, firm yet gentle presence in therapy that provides as much support as necessary, and as little as needed , to support you to find your own way. I welcome the differences that exist between each of us, and utilize them to therapeutically support you to sharpen your awareness and restore your agency and choice.
You and I can explore your experiences, understand the ways you make meaning, and experiment with changes you seek to meet your needs and mend past harms. Let’s have a conversation together to see if we are a good fit.
