About me

Hi, my name is Myani and my approach to therapy is adaptive—I will meet you where you are, no matter where that might be. I offer a warm, caring, and non-judgmental space that centers your needs. Whether you’re seeking a listening ear with gentle guidance or more direct dialogue to challenge your thinking, we’ll work together to discover what will best support you on your journey.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent nearly 15 years in the nonprofit world advocating for health equity and racial justice through coalition organizing, leadership development, and community engagement. That work has taught me so much about the importance of advocating for change, developing adaptive strategies for ourselves, and building resilience in the face of challenges. As a person with mixed identities, my experiences navigating multiple worlds have shaped my sense of self, deepened my empathy for others, and fueled my understanding of systemic injustices. These experiences inspired me to pursue a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Washington, where I focused on supporting individuals and systems at multiple levels. 

I enjoy working with adults facing challenges such as career transitions, workplace or school stress/trauma, grief and loss, identity development, chronic pain or health-related stress, relationship dynamics of all kinds, and life transitions. I’m honored to support my clients in their work to access more choice in their lives, greater clarity in who they are and what they seek, and better connection with themselves and their loved ones.
